B Channel MarketingDefinition: Products offered for sale outside of the primary "A" sales channel. B channel goods may be first quality (as is the case with marketing returns, overruns and overstocks), remanufactured, or second quality (manufacturing defects, customer returns, or other salvage goods). Best Practices: The quest to maximize returns from the B channel must be secondary to the integrity of the primary A sales channel. Customers buying product for resale in the B channel must be carefully screened to ensure they will follow all manufacturer and OEM restrictions regarding the marketing and resale of the goods.
